2 Views of Enlightenment

In these two videos, Eckhart Tolle (author of The Power of Now and A New Earth) and Himalayan yogi master Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath (author of Wings to Freedom) share their thoughts on “enlightenment” and the following question: Should you not make an effort to achieve enlightenment because making the effort in itself engages desire – or – should you desire enlightenment as intensely as a drowning man wants air, as a man with his head on fire?

Eckhart Tolle believes that you should make no effort at all to achieve enlightenment. However, Yogiraj believes that you should first desire enlightenment like a man with his head on fire, then afterwards you can reach the state of no effort and peace. What do you think?

  1. I am a trance channel for a Seraphim Angel by the name of Saron. His main purpose is to put people on or keep people on the pathway to ascension or enlightenment. I channel publicly weekly at the Ganesha Center in Las Vegas, NV. You can find my blog at:

    1. Wow, that’s pretty amazing! In the past I was very skeptical about people being channels, but I now realize there really is something to it. I was even able to open myself to being a channel, and though I only did it once, it was an amazing experience!

  2. We are told all of our lives that what we want is “outside” of us. We are told that if we “work-hard” and get a large bank account, an expensive car, a huge home, and the perfect spouse we will then obtain Joy, Peace and Happiness.

These “things” do come to us in time, however if we have not received them properly or we have received them prematurely then they will vanish just as fast as they have come. I quote Jesus often because He is the Master of the “Inner-Mind.” He tells us first we must find or seek for the Kingdom “within” and we will SEE this Kingdom represented in our lives “without.” He say’s you can not have “all things added” until you first find the Kingdom.

“God” did not hide the Kingdom from us No; Never! We were just not told to look ”within” as the Master teaches us. When we begin to follow the teachings of Jesus and not some organizations interpretation about the teachings of Jesus our lives become transformed.

Inspiration is from “within” and Silence is not only necessary but a must to understand the teachings of a Master like Jesus the Christ. The senses must be stilled, the muscles relaxed, an inner calmness cultivated. When you have attained this then you are ready for the development of your true purpose. You are Now able to “LISTEN TO GOD WHO IS WITHIN YOU AND AMONG YOU!”

This has nothing to do with clairvoyance or fortune-telling. Inspiration is the art of receiving and makes all things possible in your life. Make it Your business to understand the Invisible Forces that command the Universe so they no longer command you. If you do this Jesus tells us we can obtain the Kingdom that “God” has made for us. You will become a Superman or Superwoman if every time you breath you remember that you are One with the Creator of ALL things. “He” wants to give you the Kingdom but you must “go back home.” Your real home is “within” you. Whatever you demand by the power of “Intention” it shall be yours. Or as Jesus reminds us, “Whatsoever You desire; Believe that it is yours and it shall be Yours.”

Mind Quiet Time or Meditation is a must to live a life free of fear, doubt, worry, guilt, depression and so on. These are all qualities of an “untrained mind” or a “mind without proper training.”

Your thoughts are your will; “God’s” will is found in the “thoughtless state of Being” or “The Silence.” When you merge your will with “God’s” will you see that Your perfect will was “God’s” will all along!

Again; When you merge your will with “God’s” will you see that Your perfect will was “God’s” will all along!

Kriya Yoga taught by a modern-day Master like Yougirai SatGurnath Siddhanath is the fastest way of obtaining this state of Bliss and Harmony in your world “within” and when the world “within” is in Joy your world “without” will also be in Joy.

If this helps you please pass it along to others who can also be helped by the word expressed here.

Thank You for your kind words. I am in the San Diego area and went to see Yogiraj on 4 different occasions, He along with Eckhart are Great. Yogiraj is a True Master. He, like Jesus, has “obtained” the “knowingness” of “God” we, the seekers are looking for. He also helps us in meditation; Its Kryia Yoga he teaches and that is just the beginning. Hope this helps. I too love your blog!

  4. I am on the East coast, but would love to see Yogiraj or Eckhart speak in person someday. Until then, I have youtube and their books! Thank you for the suggestion, I will look into Kryia Yoga. There are so many forms of yoga, it’s all very interesting and fun. It will be great when all children grow to be true masters…

  5. Like you, I’m interested in the spiritual path. I’ve been involved with a lot of groups and solo searching. I came across Yogiraj awhile back. I’ve blogged about him at http://www.findingmyguru.com and I’ve chatted with some of his followers. I ended up watching Yogiraj at Agape Intl’s broadcast, but didn’t have any affects people claimed to have (like him breathing for me) or him glowing, etc.

Anyway, what bothers me, is not that the claim guru is given to him. That may be true. Maybe he is a Master (I haven’t felt it, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t true) – what bothers me about Yogiraj is how he is marketed and sold.

Example: We see throughout emails, youtube video’s, etc. this mention that Yogiraj was a Keynote speaker for the UN. I investigated that claim. While yes, there is a video on Youtube of him speaking at a place that shows the UN logo – it doesn’t appear to be the United Nations forum addressing a global community. No, it appears he instead talked at UNSRF (which is a family based organization for United Nation workers.) UNSRF organizes hikes, ski trips, yoga classes for UN workers. It is not the official UN that addresses presidents, etc.

At least there is no record of Yogiraj being a “Keynote speaker at the United Nations” – yet all other keynote speakers are indexed at un.org.

Maybe I’m wrong. But, the sensationalism like “Keynote speaker to the UN”… the attempts at miracles (which haven’t worked for me) from Yogiraj and the like, have left me more of a skeptic then when I first heard his name.
