outside the box

even when you want to
hesitate
just go on
not really thinking
too much
just let go
of anything that
takes you down
we’re all
floating
and flying
and swimming
and trying to be
anything
not even stopping
when the box
closes
on us
be
outside
the box

  1. I’m really glad you were able to get something from this poem. After writing it spontaneously (which is how I typically write), I did feel better as well. When I read the poem, I thought of the box closing as a coffin. And even after death, we don’t stop, we’re outside the box. I’m curious about your Pandora association…
