Eckhart Tolle’s meditative talks about “the eternal now” are wonderful and inspiring, but his conversations with other people can sometimes be more accessible and give yet another perspective. In these seven videos, Eckhart Tolle talks with Marianne Williamson, Neale Donald Walsch, Ram Dass, Bradley Horowitz, the Dalai Lama (with others), Ken Robinson and Oprah Winfrey. Really good stuff.

you already know
almost all I can say
you already follow
the way
streets lined with light
and a feeling
that’s true
that everything’s
right
you already know
how to play
it’s the same thing
as to pray
close your eyes
and night
becomes day
you know everything
is okay

Here is another great lesson from the Dalai Lama. This talk is from April 25, 2009, at the Greek Theater in Berkeley, California, and is titled “Peace Through Compassion.” There are subtitles, even though his English is pretty good.

at what point
do people stop
bothering other
people who
just try
to live their
own lives
without worry
without fear
without stress
at what point
do we all
rest
and realize
we’re taking in
the same
breath

when there’s so much noise
and it annoys
thoughts start moving faster
in the noise
about the noise
with the noise
just more noise
if I don’t fight it
maybe I’ll like it
maybe it’s not so bad
or loud
maybe it just flows by
without irritating me
at all
rolls away
like a ball
bouncy ball
that’s even somewhat
fun
inner peace
has begun

where can peace be found
is it here is it in me is it someplace
I need to be, just where is peace
when I dream I see just
nothing but then it seems to be
to be to be this thing that comes
to me is it different when it’s a
day dream does it mean another
thing when it comes this way
should I say it’s awake
should I say it’s AWAKE
and know it can be
and know it in peace
